Eco House Remodel with the Deconstruction & ReUse Network

The process of a home deconstruction has begun with a call to the Deconstruction and ReUse Network, but what goes where?

The ReUse Network is partnered with Habitat for Humanity, who reuse lumber, windows, and other materials in building their Habitat Houses. Items that cannot be used directly in these Habitat Homes are sold to the public at an excellent discount at the Habitat's ReStores.

Our clients deconstructed their home and saw their beautiful custom kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities carefully removed and wrapped for a trip to the Habitat Restore. Many lovely muli-paned French doors were not crushed by metal tractor jaws, but rather were able to find their way to another home. Armoires, shelving, built-ins, and appliances all were reused or sold.

Have a look at photos of the process in the ReUse Network Gallery, and spread the word; deconstruction is user-friendly, fast, provides the owner with a tax deduction, and is great for the community and our planet.
