Modern Design Master Plans for TERI

April is Autism Awareness Month, so it seems the right time to talk again about our enthusiastic involvement in designing Master Plans for TERI - Training, Education and Research Institute in San Diego County, an innovative and inspirational community where the developmentally disabled can live, work, play, and develop to their full potential.

The Centers for Disease Control has recently reported that 1 in 88 American children are now on the autism spectrum. Where will all of these children live and work when they grow up? As the need grows, places like TERI will lead the way in providing a sustainable environment where older teens and adults can find support, challenging work, and study in many areas.

The Master Plan includes their new Campus of Life, and will offer innovative facilities and cutting edge research in an environment of community, acceptance, and empowerment of the individual.

The Campus will continue to support and expand the current agriculture and culinary programs in its food processing center and florist shop, and will include a large retail shop showcasing student art and crafts, specialty foods, and produce.
