Sustainable Design with LEED Certification

What does LEED mean? It stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and is the international Good House-Building Seal of Approval for the 21st century. It is not just for houses. Offices, retail, schools, libraries, and museums all are eligible for the certification.

Through the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), points are awarded for the sustainability of a site, its water efficiency, energy usage, and indoor environmental quality.

The US Green Building Council is the primary source for LEED and green building education and resources for project teams, such as reference guides, rating system addenda, workshops, online trainings, and other tools to help owners, architects, and builders achieve success on their LEED project.
