Celebrating the Work of TreePeople

In gratitude for a rewarding year, we are continuing to support and celebrate the wisdom of TreePeople's amazing programs designed to heal the nature of our city. TreePeople is an environmental nonprofit that unites the power of trees, people, and technology, in order to grow a sustainable future for Los Angeles. Their mission is to inspire, engage, and support people to take personal responsibility for the urban environment, making it healthier and more sustainable.

TreePeople works to protect our natural resources and cool our city by using technology to re-create the healthy functions of a forest in an urban setting. What type of technology? Examples include: permeable paving, French drains, swales, rain barrels, cisterns, and other relatively simple “forest-mimicking” innovations. The goal is to make a community forest in every neighborhood of LA.

Upcoming TreePeople volunteer opportunities include Santa Monica Mountains Restoration on Jan 5 and 6th.
