This was a complete remodel of an existing 1960’s modern, updated with an emphasis on a bright, playful feel with lots of light. The client, a commercial director with two daughters, was interested in both style and functionality.
Complimentary warm wood tones used in the floors and ceilings provide a symmetry and contrast for the white walls, and the original floor plan was transformed into a dazzling glass box of entry, living, dining, and kitchen combination space. A bright raspberry painted rectangle housing the refrigerator and ovens serves as a divider between the kitchen and dining areas, and from the entry and across the living space a canyon view can be seen.
