Hopen Master Bedroom Design Details

The social spaces at the Hopen house blend seamlessly into the private places in which to retire. The master/mistress bedroom can remain open to the sun and views; or provide a more secluded atmosphere with the use of Crestron controlled remote blackout and Somfy sunshades.

This crisply detailed master bedroom is positioned at the end of a wide hallway of smooth walnut flooring, and is only a few steps from the pool through ceiling-height glass sliders.

Many of the furnishings are from B&B Italia, including a small circular sofa designed by Citterio for B&B Italia - Maxalto. Its base allows it to rotate 360 degrees. Also from B&B Italia are the California King Tufty bed, simple Dado nightstands, and low cabinet. On the nightstands are Verner Panton functional art “Wire” lamps in yellow.

This room expresses our interest in the interplay of light and water, here seen with the nearby pool, and the drama of simplicity and style, which create a space that’s easy to be in.
