Our California Modern Legacy: 38 Years of Evolving Luxury Resort Style Living
Looking through our design archives at the number of projects and the terrific clients we’ve enjoyed serving over the years, nearly four decades has added up to a body of work that we’re excited to share!
House Love in the Time of Corona
The pandemic has changed how we live in our homes, and there’s a growing desire now to build ones that we can really fall in love with.
The Shape of Light
Our work is seen as the inventive orchestration of space realized in stone, wood, glass, and steel. But there is another, ethereal, yet fundamental component to the design–daylight. Understanding its direction, movement, and intensity in terms of the building site is the starting point.
The Modern Swimming Pool
Pools, as seen from the air, miles of cool blue dots, glittering diamonds of leisure and communion, became a central modern character in many of David Hockney’s 1960’s and ‘70s paintings.
Design for Human Well Being
Most basically, our houses give us shelter from the weather, a place to sleep protected from lions and tigers and bears, and room to keep our stuff.
Mandeville Canyon Remodel
It’s nice to check back in on our past projects every once in a while as new owners move in and add their influence to the ever-changing life of the house.
Mandeville Canyon Revisited
When possible, we like to stay involved as new owners move in and add their influence to the ever-changing life of a house.
LA Times Home of the Week
We are gratified to see one of Marc’s designs discussed as Home of The Week in the LA Times.
Mandeville Canyon Featured in the LA Times
Our thanks to Jan Horn, Executive Director, Architectural Division at Coldwell Banker for his interview with Marc about his Mandeville Canyon design.
